Medical profession is one of the fastest growing fields. Its demands are increasing day by day and it is the need of the hour to keep pace with the changing world of medicine. Previously doctors of this province would go to teaching institutes of other provinces for the sake of training and specialization. That was costly and cumbersome. Looking at the diverse and ever increasing teaching and training needs of the province, the provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa decided to establish a postgraduate medical institute within the province.
